1st Annual Mayor's Invitational Art Show
The Salem Conference Center is proud to announce the 1st Annual Mayor's
Invitational Art Show. The Art Show is set to open in July, just before
the Salem Art Fair & Festival. A mayor's reception will inaugurate the
exhibit, which will open to the public the following day - July 15th.
This first year will be a showing of paintings, featuring all Willamette
Valley artists. The artists' works will be on display at the conference
center for one year, and will be followed annually by additional art
shows. From the 32 invitations that were sent out to local artists,
we received a remarkable 100% participation!
The goal is to build a permanent collection of art at the conference
center, both to showcase Oregon artists and to promote the area. Through
sponsorships, there will be a Mayor's Purchase Award that will put a work
of art from each show into the Conference Center permanently.
If you are interested in participating as a sponsor, please contact
Chrissie Bertsch, General Manager at 503-779-1405.
