SEDCOR Annual Awards Luncheon
June 14, 2007
Phoenix Grand Hotel and
Salem Conference Center
Scott Snyder, General Manager, Phoenix Grand Hotel accepted the award.
Sharing a city block is just the beginning for this rather unique venture between the Phoenix Grand Hotel and the Salem Conference Center. This cooperative effort between the two has opened the door to many functions that previously would have overlooked Salem. In turn, it has created a great venue for all types of events and multiple day conferences in the heart of Salem's downtown.
The Salem Conference Center is like no other meeting facility in the Willamette Valley region. It is the result of a strong commitment to create a center of extraordinary quality from the flowing integration of the conference center and the Phoenix Grand Hotel, to the combination of classic appointments and forward-looking technology.
Since opening in March, 2005, the hotel and conference center have hosted a wide array of speakers Jane Goodall, Colin Powell, Vince Lombardi Jr. and recently Barbara Bush. Many functions like the International Listening Association, Rotary International District Meeting, The Mayor's First Annual Invitational Art Show, the Boys and Girls Aid Society, and Festival of Trees have brought many people into our area.
On Thursday, June 14, SEDCOR, held the Annual Honors Luncheon at Willamette Valley Vineyards. Over 300 SEDCOR members, civic and government officials were in attendance.
The awards honor outstanding companies in the following categories: Innovative Product, Exporter of the Year, Service Provider, Community Service, and Manufacturer of the Year. The Mary Pearmine Workforce Leadership Award was also presented by the Enterprise for Employment and Education.
Saalfeld Griggs PC, was recognized for their 25 years of continued involvement and support of SEDCOR. Press Release and photo gallery available at http://www.sedcor.com/pages/pressreleases/sedcor07_hlawards.pdf
